About this deal

E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the globe.

When I read the trilogy, I tried to imagine Christian’s feelings, particularly as we were given a few clues along the way and this book is a vehicle to assist the reader on this train of thought. A few are reflections of his childhood with the Greys, and there is a little with Elena and his submissives, too.I know some people have said he comes across a bit whipped or a wuss at the end but I liked the end - the fact he was that upset at loosing her was nice to read, lets not forget Ana is the only girl who he has ever let get this close to him. Turns out it wasn't necessary because Friday I received word the case had settled and my super qualified and totally not-judgey services wouldn't be necessary after all. It brought a long list of friends that I hold near and dear to my heart and it has given me an outlet that I did not have before. Those scenes serve to bring the couple closer, and due to their dark nature, they serve to promote trust and deepen intimacy.

In fact, it appears that James has looked at the transcript of 50 Shades of Grey and purely altered the perspective, adding a few memories of Christian as a child.

I enjoyed the flashbacks to Christian’s childhood, his relationship with Leila and his relationship with Elena. If she brings the rest of the books out from Christian’s pov I will most definitely be listening to them on audio! Lo que sí es que las escenas de sexo las leí muy rápido y sólo "por encimita", porque qué flojera, eran casi IGUALES a las del primer libro, sentía como si ya las hubiera leído.

What was Christian really like at this point in his life where, in Christian’s opinion, Elena became his saviour? I always thought of him as the alpha, who was in control, but really, it was Ana that had all the control. You are cordially invited to the wedding of the decade, when Christian Grey will make Anastasia Steele his wife.

It is essentially the same story, but here the reader gets to discover more about Christian, who is a far more fascinating character than Anastasia. The result was the controversial and sensuous romance Fifty Shades of Grey and its two sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. Buuuuuuuuuuuut I figure you can't make bad decisions all year unless you start on January 1 so I decided to read this today. Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. It is the only kind of relationship he is capable of, and once the women want more from him he cuts ties.
